Letter from TWCGP president
大家新年好: 2010年將是我們的年代且等待我們去證明，無疑的，也會是TWCGP台灣婦女成員和朋友們富挑戰性和繁忙的一年。今年有許多議程需要我們大家一起努力。一如既往，我們需要新的成員和支持者加入我們TWCGP俱樂部。 TWCGP是一個機會均等且組織開放的社團，我們不僅歡迎從臺灣來的婦女朋友們，且歡迎婦女朋友們出生在不同國家的台灣人後裔。TWCGP 也非常榮耀和感謝其他國籍和不同種族的親朋好友們多年來的熱心支持和幫忙，我們非常珍惜這個友誼和支持的力量。有我們的會員和朋友們，大家盡心盡力不遺餘力，再加上我們承繼了幾年來TWCGP己建立起的美好無私傳統， TWCGP會繼續成長，並希望且保衛我們心愛的家園台灣，也能繼續增長且蓬勃成為眞正自由民主的獨立國家 。 最後，我要提到，臺灣各個社團計畫在本地區建立一個臺灣社區活動中心去服務支持台灣的人，和去服務支持我們的社團活動和社團福利。謝謝大家。 會長戴秀琴
Happy New Year to all: 2010 is now upon us and will prove, no doubt, to be a challenging and busy year for the members and friends of TWCGP. We have many things on the agenda for this year. Foremost, as always, is the inclusion of new members and supporters of Taiwan into the club. TWCGP is an equal opportunity organization open not only to those born in Taiwan, but also women born elsewhere of Taiwanese descent. As a club, we also enjoy support from our friends who are of other nationalities and ethnicities. Diversity is a strength we cherish. TWCGP will grow, and we are united in our desire to see Taiwan grow and become flourish independent nation. With the dedication and hard work of our membership, friends, and supporters, we will carry on the fine tradition established through years of selfless dedication to support, protect, and defend the ideals and best interests of our beloved homeland. To this end, we will work to establish a Taiwanese community center in our local area in order to support the activities and general welfare of our people and our community. Thank you. 大波特蘭區台灣婦女會採莓活動
大波特蘭區台灣婦女會 (Taiwanese Women’s Club of Greater Portland, TWCGP)將於七月三十一日在 波特蘭西北區Sauvie Island Road的克魯格農場 Kruger's Farm舉辦採莓活動。波特蘭區的莓果愛好者，採莓季節開始了，克魯格農場除了有各種不同的應時莓果果樹和蔬菜可以採集外，來此遊客更可以呼吸戶外新鮮空氣和欣賞美麗的綠野果園，也可讓遊客自由自在方便地享用野餐，和免費使用野餐桌, 更可乘坐拖拉機車遊農場，農場的商店也出售自製果漿和自種新鲜蔬菜，農場的小吃和點心站提供（烤甜玉米，烤漢堡，烤香腸和飲料等等）供遊客選用。建議當天穿著舒適的衣服和運動鞋，農場雖提供容器, 但你也可以自己攜帶容器或塑料袋裝你所採到的莓果。

TWCGP Berry Picking Event
TWCGP will have a berry picking event set in Kruger's Farm, located at Sauvie Island Road, Portland.
Below is Kruger's Farm information:
Beside beautiful view of orchards, they also have:
Corn , pre-picked produce, snacks and refreshment stand ( barbecued sweet corn, hamburgers, bratwurst, & drinks), restrooms, picnic table area, tractor-pulled hay ride, etc..
Recommendations
Bring containers or plastic bags. Orchard offers buckets, you can bring your own as well.
Wear comfortable walking shoes and clothes.
Dates and time
Saturday, July 31. 10am.
Orchard is open from 9 a.m. - Sunset.
Directions
To get here from Portland- head out of Portland on route 30 toward St. Helens. Pass under the St. Johns Bridge and through the town of Linnton. About 3 miles past Linnton you'll see the Sauvie Island Bridge (and new bridge under construction.) Cross the bridge and go straight on Sauvie Island Rd.
